During these chapeters we learn about Silas. Silas is a runaway convict as a little kid he killed his father and numerouse people witout a purpose. He was sent from jail to jail until one night an earth quake caused a giant rock to fall on his cell and broke a hole on the wall. Silas quickly got up and ran out he sprinted down hill for some days. After a couple weeks he was dying he randomly came upt to a church. The abbe of the church helped him get his life back together. Silas din't remember his name but he knew what his new purpose in life was it was to spread the word of the lord Jesus. One night on the news he heard they where looking for inmates that ran away from jail after an earthquake. He wanted to run away because the abbe wa going to turn him in to the authorities so he thought. A few minutes later the abbe came in with a bible he stared at the confused man watching the news. The abbe gave him an open bible and told him to read a section in it. This part talked about how jesus gave a man named Silas another oportunity to live he broke his jail cell so that he could escape. The abbe then said everyone diserves another chance you shall now be known as Silas.

The Da Vinci Code post 1

The book starts of by introducing a Harvard profesor named Langdon. During this time he is in france giving presentations. One night someone shows up to his hotel room trying to talk to him he completely ignores him and tells him to come back tomorrow because he is tired. The night after this another person visits him he can't deny him since he is part of the french equivalent to the C.I.A. Langdon is then taken by force because he has to help solve a mistery. The man that had previously tried to contact him was Saunière. Saunière  had been found dead inside the Louvre. That wasn't it though he was found naked and with symbols drawn on him with his own blood. He also left some writing around him that could only be seen with a black light. The weirdest thing about this was that he had done all of this to him self.

Final Post

Paul keeps typing and getting his medicince after a while he starts to feel better but then realizes he is adicted to the painkillers. He's legs are slowly healing but they still look horrible.  Annie then starts giving him on;y asprins because that is enough for the pain. But then Paul starts suffering from withdrawl and takes some of the painkillers he stole from her. This reminds me of a show on true t.v where they try to help people get over an addiction but they usually don't get over it. They usually preten to be over it and when they get out of rehab they start doing the drug. one of the studies actually showed that after rehab the poeple where even more addicted to the drugs they where on. "Well, you better start thinking about all the dope you are taking. Paul. You better start thinking about it very seriously,"

During the end of section one in the book Annie leaves the house, and leaves Paul unattended for acouple hours. During this time Paul goes arouns the house on his wheelchair trying to llok for a way to get out or for help. He rolls around from room to room he finds where she keeps the painkiller he takes a few then he rushes back to the room where she left him. When she walks in he notices he had forgotten to put two medicine boxes away he had left them on his lap. She then pushes him to his room wher he hides them under the bed. This reminded me of when I was younger and did something I wasn't supposed to. Then my mom came home and I forgot to put something away. I am guessing Paul felt that adrenaline rush you get before getting caught for something you did wrong.

""Geeeee-yahhh!" she screamed, and  brought her fist down on the bunched salt-dome that had been Paul Sheldon's left knee. He threw his head back and howled, veins standing out of his neck and on his forehead." This is an example of the kind of torture Annie tried on Paul. She did all of this just to make him wrie a new misery book. But everytime he does something wrong or refuses to do something she punishes him for being bad. It varies at time sometimes she won't feed him or give him painkillers for his shattered legs. It all depends on how she is feeling that day. This section of the book reminded me of the movie Taken the main character talkes about torturing peple for information, withought even knowing if they knew about what they where talking about.

chapters 12-19

In this section of the story Paul is left alone for a couple days. He starts to think that Annie had a hart attack he is praying to god for her to be dead. After awhile he starts imagining things because he is dehidrating at one point he starts to pee in his blanket and then he cups his hands and drinks his own pee. This part reminded me of the show Man vs. Wild how Bear Grylls tells everyone to do what they have to do to survive. In fact one episode he drank his own pee because he couldn't find any water in the desert.

Misery

The book starts with the narrator waking up with his legs broken and a random overgrown women starring at him. Turns out the lady is her number one fan and she is over obsesed with the misery books he has written. She has been taking care of him after he got in to a car accident he doesnnn't know why she didn't take him to a hospital. But instead she has been feeding him through an IV, and has been giving him painkillers for his shattered legs.

As the book goes one we start to find small clues of who this random women is. She is a nurse that gets crazier as time passes. she did not only kidnap him. She took his wallet and a rough draft of a book that he is working on. As the stroy goes on we learn that she is a fan of the Misery sries she has read his other work but she doesn't really like them. As she reads this rough draft she gets madder at the author so she starts treating him bad. She statrs taking longer to feed him or sometimes she won't give him pain killers for hours.
At one point in the book she is cleaning a wall (because he accidently through a bowl of soup at the wall.) As he is begging for the painkillers she makes him drink his pills with dirty mop water.
