Misery

The book starts with the narrator waking up with his legs broken and a random overgrown women starring at him. Turns out the lady is her number one fan and she is over obsesed with the misery books he has written. She has been taking care of him after he got in to a car accident he doesnnn't know why she didn't take him to a hospital. But instead she has been feeding him through an IV, and has been giving him painkillers for his shattered legs.

As the book goes one we start to find small clues of who this random women is. She is a nurse that gets crazier as time passes. she did not only kidnap him. She took his wallet and a rough draft of a book that he is working on. As the stroy goes on we learn that she is a fan of the Misery sries she has read his other work but she doesn't really like them. As she reads this rough draft she gets madder at the author so she starts treating him bad. She statrs taking longer to feed him or sometimes she won't give him pain killers for hours.
At one point in the book she is cleaning a wall (because he accidently through a bowl of soup at the wall.) As he is begging for the painkillers she makes him drink his pills with dirty mop water.

  1. This seems like a pretty interesting book and i might read it after we finish school. Also this lady does seem crazy because who in their right mind would give a person mop water to drink.

  2. This lady seems like a ridiculously psychotic maniac. I can understand being someone's number one fan, but kidnapping him, and essentially torchering him, is absolutely obsurd. Someone needs to jump this lady fast.

  3. Your post gave me the shivers, but it was interesting. This lady is obviously a total nightmare and I would definitely not want to meet a nurse like her.

  5. This seems like a very interesting reading choice for me. It's a lot different from what I've been reading but it definitely sounds like a suspenseful book that keeps you awake at night. By the sounds of it, this would make a great movie! :)
