Final Post

Paul keeps typing and getting his medicince after a while he starts to feel better but then realizes he is adicted to the painkillers. He's legs are slowly healing but they still look horrible.  Annie then starts giving him on;y asprins because that is enough for the pain. But then Paul starts suffering from withdrawl and takes some of the painkillers he stole from her. This reminds me of a show on true t.v where they try to help people get over an addiction but they usually don't get over it. They usually preten to be over it and when they get out of rehab they start doing the drug. one of the studies actually showed that after rehab the poeple where even more addicted to the drugs they where on. "Well, you better start thinking about all the dope you are taking. Paul. You better start thinking about it very seriously,"

Post four

During the end of section one in the book Annie leaves the house, and leaves Paul unattended for acouple hours. During this time Paul goes arouns the house on his wheelchair trying to llok for a way to get out or for help. He rolls around from room to room he finds where she keeps the painkiller he takes a few then he rushes back to the room where she left him. When she walks in he notices he had forgotten to put two medicine boxes away he had left them on his lap. She then pushes him to his room wher he hides them under the bed. This reminded me of when I was younger and did something I wasn't supposed to. Then my mom came home and I forgot to put something away. I am guessing Paul felt that adrenaline rush you get before getting caught for something you did wrong.

Post 3

""Geeeee-yahhh!" she screamed, and  brought her fist down on the bunched salt-dome that had been Paul Sheldon's left knee. He threw his head back and howled, veins standing out of his neck and on his forehead." This is an example of the kind of torture Annie tried on Paul. She did all of this just to make him wrie a new misery book. But everytime he does something wrong or refuses to do something she punishes him for being bad. It varies at time sometimes she won't feed him or give him painkillers for his shattered legs. It all depends on how she is feeling that day. This section of the book reminded me of the movie Taken the main character talkes about torturing peple for information, withought even knowing if they knew about what they where talking about.

chapters 12-19

In this section of the story Paul is left alone for a couple days. He starts to think that Annie had a hart attack he is praying to god for her to be dead. After awhile he starts imagining things because he is dehidrating at one point he starts to pee in his blanket and then he cups his hands and drinks his own pee. This part reminded me of the show Man vs. Wild how Bear Grylls tells everyone to do what they have to do to survive. In fact one episode he drank his own pee because he couldn't find any water in the desert.
